Awesome news for Lung Cancer Awareness Month! A relatively simple blood test developed at MD Anderson could help identify those at high risk for developing lung cancer (independent of smoking history). This could lead to refining current lung cancer screening eligibility criteria. #LCAM

This is outstanding news. Would love to be able to use such a test to determine who with pulmonary RRP is most likely to convert to malignant disease.

I’d like more details; my mother passed away June 2, 2018. She was diagnosed at stage 3.

Holly, I’m sorry cancer took your mom. This blood test is still being developed by researchers and is not yet ready for clinical use. Hopefully it will prove itself accurate enough to be approved by the FDA someday.
