Editing in the age of precision medicine

I want a plug-in for Siri on my iPhone that recognizes the names of all cancer drugs. I’m getting really tired of correcting “and tractor new” (entrectinib), “croissant live” (crizotinib), and “a lot of them” (lorlatinib). You should see what Siri gives me when my chemobrain is too tired pronounce the longer ones correctly! I still can’t wrap my tongue around the generic name for Tecentriq.

Feel free to share your Siri/Cortana/Dragon medical transcription snafus in the comments.

  1. I don’t have any of the tech stuff that would snafu, but I often find reading about auto-corrected things LOL funny. Probably b/c I don’t have to put up with the annoyance (:

  2. My wife says, what I think she says (because my hearing isn’t so good) is always funny. You are, as always leaps and bounds ahead of this Old flip phone man. Btw I was clear in my last pet. One small node hyperbolic between aortas and pancreas. Continuing on Opdivo or NYE-vol-U-Mab.
